what changes would i do to my study programme

I think that there is a lot to think about this topic because our career is very new so we have a curriculum that is just begining to improve.

About the curriculum, i think that they're some things that arent very clear, like the curricular plan of some courses, i mean, there is not specified for year "what you should do", actually it depends mostly of the teacher, and that bring us some problems with them (the teachers)

Because of the infraestructure we have not much space, so they are some things like elective courses that we cannot have because of that, so if we had more classromes a lot of things will improve. for example, our career now is biannual, but if you misted the firs semester of a course you have to wait to next year to take them instead of the next semester.

I would like to have a lot of couses that we cannot because of money (to pay the teachers) and space. I think that to be a dancer is very importante have time to practice, but if you don't have the proper place it will be very hard, and as we don't have extra rooms they are always taken for classes or to rehearsal.

Finaly as we are in the university of Chile, they are some teachers that are "plant" that means that for contract you have to put them doing something, and in some cases they are very bad as teachers and they have been a lot of Protest to change them, unfortunately it's not a surprise that they are still doing classes, and every year the class has to do something to take them of, so i think those people have to leave the university so we can improve our career because the money that  we spend on them we could use to have a course that will actually work to us...

that's not all of course... but whatever....

My future Job

After i finish my major in arts with the mention of contemporary dance, i would like to continue studying outside Chile, i don't really know where but i think that in latino América because i love the people and i think that they are really good programs in arts for example in Brasil, Cuba, Peru and Colombia. Maybe i should study something about Direction or Choreography because in the future i would like to create my own stuffs, i mean i would like to direct my own ideas and not necessary in the discipline of dance, i like the multidisciplinary, mix the dance with the theatre, the circus, the music. i think that is the dream, but in real it will be very hard, so i have to put all of me to get it.
Before that i would like of corse dance a lot, not necessary in a company but i would like to perform in a lot of plays, and not just in a theatre, i believe that the street performance are really amazing and good for the society.

if i can do my creations i would like to show them in a lot of places, not just in Santiago, so some other dream is travel a lot doing what i like most.
I haven't think about a salary, i think that i wouldn't have something stable but actually, i don't care that much.

I don't really know what i'm going to do in the future, but what i know is that i will be happy doing what i like.

Fears

I haven't had a big fear but i do remember some stuff that had keep me awake at night.
when i was little my mom used to work all time and i usually did my homework alone, but of corse not always it was well done so i was really afraid that my teacher scold me... that fear desapear with the time and now im more responsable thank's to that. The same thing happen with test's, i remember that if i hadn't stutied really good y felt sick before a test and it wasn't a lie, my stomach really hurt.

One of the biggest fears that i had before it was violín exams, a presentation of music or dance is bread eaten compared to the career committe of violín. Since i was 7 to 16 years old i did studed the instrument at the Catholic University, it was very fun and i loved it, the thing is that when i started to be in the career i had to pass a final exam every year. There were you and a comition alone in a room, it was a lot of pressure to a kid, my hand used to shake and of corse it wasn't the sound that i wanted so i always cried after the exam... was awfull but with years i did subtract it.
Now of corse i value a lot that experience, now i can be at any stage and don't feel fear at all...

Thak's for read my awfull experience's, see you soon, XOXO!

Gazelle

As i said in some bloggs i´m scout and when i started in the CIA (Companionship) that is the unit of girls of 11-14 years i did belong to the Gazelle patrol.
All that period we (me and my partners) did have alot of pasion for the animal, this represent our group and our fellowship so i have a special affection.

The Gazelle is an antelope (ungulate mammal), Are medium-sized, agile and long-legged antelopes.
They can reach speeds of 97 km / h, and maintain a speed of 56 km / h for an extended period so we could say that its a very fast animal. Their habitat is the sabana in áfrica, but they're some in Southwest Asia. They are herbivorous and live in big herds, To survive in the open, they must be vigilant all the time. Although they often lie down, they do not sleep more than an hour a day, in short periods of five minutes or less. Gazelles live in groups of thousands of individuals who remain alert, as they do not sleep for very long periods. this fact is what we used to use as an inspiration to our patrol because we have to take care to eachothers.

In scout we had a presentation scream: the guide of our patrol said "with love and sacrifice" and the others responde "Gazelle at service", it represent our comitment and love for the movement.
we have a flag of the patrol with a big gazelle at the middle and a circle of three colors, calypso, pink and yellow, and the background was black, we used to hang the flag in our nook like in form of presentation.

Finally i want to say that this animal is beautiful in all its forms and i love it for all the memories that it brings me.

One of my favourites concerts

A couple years ago i used to work at Rock and Recicle with my friends of scout. The deal was that we had to recycle a huge bag of cants in lollapalooza just midday and then we could enjoy the rest of the day and next day of the festival for free. I don´t remember if it was the one of 2013 or 2014 but it was the same structure. i saw there chat faker, lorde, capital cities, phoenix, hordatoj, soundgarden, etc...  and alot of electro Music (Zeed, Major Lazer, Axwell, calvin harris, kid cudi, and others).

Even though the music was the best, i really enjoyed been with my friends and of course the atmosphere of lolla makes us act really crazy and it feels really free.

A really fun anecdote that i can recall was in one of the nights, i think it was one in 2014 because we wanted to see Kid Cudi in the Movistar Arena. if you has never went to lollapalooza have to know that all the states are open air in the O´higgins park except the movistar arena, where you have to pass between guards to get into. in the Movistar are always electro music and there was where Kid Cudi shows that night. So we went to the movistar with alot of the guys, but we always got separated or didn´t wanted to see the same show so if we didn´t see someone we don´t used to worry, they will be doing his one thing, so alot of us pass the guards and gone to the movistar, there were too much people and all them going very fast and at one point we stop seen three of us, but we didn´t care and just go inside, enjoyed the show and then go to our houses. the fun fact was that our friends decided to smoke weed just at the entry of the movistar, the only place in all the festival full of guards and of course they got caught, so the persecution started... they ran arround the places till they were kicked out (idiots).

Finally i want to say that this was one of my favourites experience not because of what it was, but because i was with my best friends and partners of life.

Brasil,
a country where i would like to live.

I always have been a person who like a lot the beach and a good weather, i love the sun and the sea, that's why i would like to live in a place with those characteristics.
Brasil have an ecuatorial weather, have a media of 25°C and the coast surrounds the atlantic ocean.
A fundamental point about this country is that they have an amazing culture in art's, the music and the dance is part of their life and makes them a  happy culture. The education it's free, they have federal universities and you just have to apply and full the requeriments.
Another important point to see is that in school programs the dance is obligatory just as music and plastic arts.

I would like to go to complement my education to the UFBA, the UFBA is the Federal University of Bahia. a university of arts, they have really good programs in dance and masters on direction so it's one of my top options.
The Federal University of Rìo (in Rìo de Janeiro) have also programs in dance, but even i would prefer to live in Rìo, the UFBA have more prestigious in arts.

The language of brasil is Portugues but depending of where do you live (the north, the south or the amazon) the way of pronunciation is very diferent. if you go there you will find that people from the north talks more clear than people from south.

Finally i'd like to say that i love the music and the performers of there, In music Hermeto Pascoal, Elis Regina, Milton Nascimento and in dance Grupo Corpo and Deborah Colker company are my fabourites.

The reason why i chose Joan is because she is a really talented women who fight for the social change and suffered a lot for that, but she didn't quit, she continue fighting till the cause paid of.

One of my favorites photograph's

As i said in an old post, i'm scout, and this picture was taken, in the summer camp of my group of January, 2015
I chose this picture because i am with two of my biggest friends, of course that we are all friends in my group, but i have an special love for them because the one at the right was my leader and he taught me a lot of things, and the one of the left is my friend since we were 9 years old, and we go to camping together since that date, so we are almost like brothers (their both names are Sebastian)
we did between the trees an oriel with wood, and we use that to see the sky and specially in the night when the stars were shining, i have amazing memories of that.
I don't know who take this picture but it has to be someone of the family, and that's why i love this photograph, because it was taken in a familiar and gorgeous environment, full of love and friendship.

My favorite holiday,  18th September.

I think that 18th september it's the perfect holiday because i spend time with my family and also with friends, eat a lot, have delicious drinks (Chicha and Terremoto are my favorites), Fondas are really fun and people are always happy.
I have lived a lot of different's 18, but my favorite's has been since i was fourteen. I have two really good friend's and one of them have a house in Algarrobo so we spend two 18th september in her house (when i was fourteen and fifteen) and it was really fun because i was just starting to be a teenager and been in those Fondas was crazier, them when i was sixteen i travel with my mom and sister to San Pedro de Atacama, was amazing because it was my first time in the north and also in 18th september there were a lot of traditions so was great. The next year (seventeen) my mom travel alone so my dad and my brother came to our house (i live with my mom and my little sister) and we did a family and friends Fonda, was really cool because they are super relax and all was perfect, actually that was the first time being in santiago for the 18th so i discover the Fondas with my closest friends, i spend a really good time. finally last year i spend the 18th here too (in Santiago) and this time was all the family so we ate a lot in the house and them i went to National Stadium Fonda in Ñuñoa with my friends.

Movies

Hi there, i would like to talk about my favorites movies.
I think that the most importance thing in a movie is the scene, like the colors or the things that makes real that place. Thats why i love Tarantino films, because he use a lot of colors, strong colors that makes look beautiful even the blood
Other thing that i think it's really important is the music. like "Pride and prejudice" or "Amelie",
because it's makes you feel the story from the senses, and it's very emotional.
of corse that in a mystery movie the music it's really important to makes you feel scared or surprise, that's why i like too "The others" or "The secret in their eyes" (the original version from Argentina)

There is always important a good story, but it doesn't have to be real or credible, it just have to be good represent, like "Pulp fiction", or "Wild stories", the stories are Unbelievable, but the actors and of corse the director makes you "buy it".
I think that good actors and a good director are really important because they are a complement to makes the movie a real artwork.

I like fiction movies too, like the lord of the rings, pirates of the caribbean, the hunger games, etc... they are not my favorites but i really enjoy them.
I love all topics in movies, romantics, adventure, fiction, mystery, etc... but there is one topic that i'm really fussy, horror films, because i think that sometimes the stories are stupids or silly and the actors are overacting. In that case i prefer mystery, but i wouldn't say no if somebody invites me to the cinema to watch a horror movie neither.

Finally i like all the movies that i named before, but there is one that i always see when i'm depress or sad, and that's "Amelie", because the story make's me think about life and the music it's "delicious" and the way of the colors result it's gorgeous, touch my heart.
if you never have watched "Amelie" you should do it.

Expectations for the semester.

This semester i have 7 subject's.  Contemporary dance, Modern dance and Academic Technic (ballet), are the dancing classes where i learn the specific Technic of the class. them i have Improvisation, when we use our mind to follow an idea, we have to create in based an instruction and be very focus. Physical Conditioning it's a class when we prepare our bodies to be dancers, we do a lot of exercises based on the specific anatomy and also learn how to take care of our bodies.
I have History of the arts, when we work in groups and discus about the subject of the class.
Finally i have English class, when we do a blog (this blog) and we also learn how to communicate in English.

Extracurricular i have been scout since 9 years old so it's just part of my life. Now with university i hope could keep going because i have also a responsibility with the kids.
I sing in a chorus of Latin & African music, but the rehearsals hasn't started yet... i think would start on May. I also take a lot of dance classes outside the university, but nothing regular, now i'm going to Afro dance, but maybe i'll change for another class, i'ts a mystery.

I expect for this year improve my Technic in dance and specifically ballet, also i hope still been scout because when i was little it make's me really happy and i would like to do the same for others. I would like to get a part time job but i don't have many time so i hope to find something on Sunday.
Finally i have been vegetarian for 6 month and i hope to keep been and don't have any problems.

Blog Session 1 (Week 3) >> My Auto Biography English III Danza

My name is Sara Lecaros S. i'm 19 years old and from Santiago of Chile.
I started my studies in school when i was 6 years old in Santa Marta, Ñuñoa, then at 14 years i changed to College Teresiano Enrique de Ossó, to have a "better" education, but actually the only differences was that Teresiano it's bigger. My parents are musicians so, they put me (at the same age that i started school) to study an instrument in Catholic university of Santiago and i chose Violin. I did really like it when i was a kid, but with time and responsibilities i started to leave the instrument and something else catch my attention.
I was 16 years old when i seriously stop to study violin, and i didn't know what could i do to expend my free time, i mean, i played volleyball my last 4 years in school, but it wasn't enough because i used to do a lot of things, so free time was really boring.
One day i found a DVD with an old presentation of a ballet class, i was dressed like a butterfly and it makes me laugh so i thought to comeback to take dance lessons. called my father who works in Modern School of music and dance, and he pay me a PREU of dance (PREU is something that prepares you before the university). my teachers were Vivian Romo Improvisation, Kana Nakao Ballet and Leslie Apablaza Contemporary dance. I approve the PREU so i got accepted in modern school but i wanted University of Chile, because it's a university and my parents studied here too,
So now i'm a student of Contemporary dance In  University of Chile and i'm really happy.
